It was days like today that made you wish you were outside having fun. That is unless you’re seventeen year old Chess Monroe. It was days like today that she loved to go to The Betty Bakery and eat without caring what people thought. There was no doubt about it, she loved baked goods whether she’s making it or she’s eating it. Currently she sat at the very last chair in the back. In her opinion, it was the best seat. The music from the small speaker was loudest here and very few people even notice the seat.
In one hand she held a coffee mug full of hot chocolate. Chess was apart of the scenery normally. It was her favorite place in the world and she normally spent her weekend mornings here. In her other hand was some stupid teenage girl magazine. The thing was awful, but she was bored. On the table in front of her, lay a large piece of apple pie, her favorite. Yeah, she felt like a fat loser. Nothing better than that.
